20 Super Engineering Scholarships

Professional associations fund many engineering scholarships. They help provide monetary support for creative, analytical problem-solvers who will design tomorrow’s leading innovations.

Engineering is a highly diverse field divided into more than 30 specialties like:

  • civil
  • aerospace
  • nuclear
  • petroleum
  • environmental
  • industrial

Engineers have one of the most important STEM occupations because they’re involved in building and advancing our world’s entire infrastructure from roads to computers and water systems.

The NCES reports that the number of bachelor’s degrees awarded in engineering has risen by 29 percent since 2009. That’s excellent news because the United States has over 1.6 million engineering jobs. Several specialties are reporting double-digit growth. For example, the BLS predicts that 14,600 mechanical engineers alone will be hired before 2024.
