Our methodology included examination of public and private universities and colleges with a net price of less than $23,000 per year, according to NCES College Navigator. We awarded points based on various criteria, including low net price. Points were also given to schools with lower selectivity rates (percent of undergraduate applicants admitted), small class sizes, lower student-to-faculty ratios, availability to graduate business and finance degree online programs, and rankings in the 2016 edition of Best Colleges published by U.S. News and World Report. In the event of a tie, the school with the lower net price ranked in a higher position on our list.
